Thank You for Your Support at Winter Nuts Challenge:
Last week on the 5th March Harriet Smith, founder of Collective Industries, took part in the Nuts Challenge in aid of Bloodwise (formerly Leukaemia Lymphoma Research) with her family.
In total we raise £265.00
The course consisted of a 7K obstacle mud run with over 100 challenging obstacles. Harriet did the summer version of this event back in September 2015 and throughly enjoyed it and so signed up again for the next one!
“The winter event was definitely more challenging than the summer version. I knew it would be cold, but I definitely underestimated the effect the cold can have on you! It was possibly the hardest challenge I have put myself through both physically and mentally. Most of the course, I reckon about 70%, is in water of some kind, anywhere from knee deep to head deep, so you can imagine just how cold we got! At one point I was stood in a trench of water waiting in line to get out whilst it was snowing thinking ‘this is actually nuts, what am I doing’! But it is all worth it to support such a good cause.”
Harriet will be taking part in more charity challenges and events through out the year with the aim to raise money for both Bloodwise and Meningitis Now, our two supported charities. Stay tuned for more details on these over the coming months. As well as fundraising events such as The Nuts Challenge, Collective industries donates regularly to both charities on a monthly basis. We recognise the influence a company can have among peers and friends and give what we can, whenever we can, always to help others.
